PORTRAITSinOIL

Whether the subject is a magic moment in the life of a child, or the formal pose of the family patriarch, nothing can capture treasured family images quite like a portrait in oil. An oil painting is a permanent memory, presented by the artist with style and charm, and passed down from generation to generation.

Louisiana artist Robert Tinney has enjoyed a 30 year career as illustrator and portrait artist. The sample portraits reproduced here are testimony to Tinney's ability to capture in paint those revealing, spiritual qualities which make the face of a loved one seem to come alive on canvas.

Please follow the links below to see some of the wonderful portraits Tinney has painted over the years. Also presented is a short biography of the artist, as well as other information about Tinney and his work.
